Art4TheHomeless
uniting the arts to help the homeless
Art4TheHomeless Mission

The mission of Art4TheHomeless is to unite the arts (visual, literary, music, etc) to promote homeless awareness in America.

Art4TH features artists and through their art, promotes homeless help organizations, shelters, web organizations; anyone or anything that pertains to homeless Americans and in the process, promoting the artists whose works we use.

Art4TH supports the arts and wants to use the arts to help as many Americans who are homeless and needs help as we can.

Art4TheHomeless Vision

Art4TheHomeless sees an America where artists come together to help those in need, each other, and emotionally raise each other up. Art is our way of expressing who we are and Art4TheHomeless expresses art and homelessness: how we can help each other out.

Goals of Art4TheHomeless:

Art4TheHomeless would like to add more links and information to The Homeless Network, keep on publishing the Zine, and become a major resource for anyone who is homeless, homeless organizations.

Art4TheHomeless would like to be established as a non-profit organization (long term)

Art4TheHomeless would like to establish a gallery space where artists can have shoes, musicians can have shows, writers can have spoken word performances and book signings, provide refreshments, have fundraisers, and be an active part of the community all the while providing financial donations to various US homeless shelters.

The A4TH and Northwest Scenescapes Slideshow Project

In an effort to help raise money for A4TH, we are asking for your help. If you are a talented artist, photographer, writer, poet, or musician we are asking you to help us with this worthy cause. We aren't asking you for money, but we would appreciate a donation of one or more images of your works for use in a slideshow that will be given to anyone who makes a donation to A4TH.

Northwest Scenescapes will create the slideshow, which will be availabe for download (with a donation to A4TH). A DVD will also be made available for purchase (all proceeds will go to A4TH). Northwest Scenescapes will absorb the costs of the DVD and shipping.

What will you get if you contribute art (photography, art, poems, writing, or music)?
1)You'll get the good feeling of helping people in need.
2)You'll also get a copy of the slideshow (via download from Northwest Scenescapes website).
3)You'll get a credit line at the end of the slideshow (similar to the credits at the end of a movie). Your credit line can be of your choice: company name, your personal name, website address. It's your credit line so you can choose what you'd like at the end of the slideshow.
4) A thumbnail of your image will placed on a "contributors" page in the A4TH section of this website along with a bio, links to your website, blog or to a site where you sell your images. This information will be your choice.

One of my thoughts about the slideshow is to have images from around the world. This could be images of landscapes, city scenes, seascapes, Any images of identifiable people MUST have a model release. This is a commercial project and a release is a "must". I will be donating as many images as necessary of the Pacific Northwest. You will absolutely retain all copyright to your images and will be given credit in the "credits" segment of the slideshow. High resolution images are not necessary. The slideshow will be comprised of images 1024x768 @96DPI, not good enough to print. A copyright disclaimer will be added to the beginning of the slideshow.

For an example of what the slideshow might be like, click here.

If you would like to be part of this project and would like more information, I can be contacted at info@northwest-scenescapes.com. If you would like to submit a photo please view the guidelines here. Please visit the A4TH site here

Thanks for taking the time to read this. We hope you will become a part of this good cause.

For A4TH,
Johnna
